3D renderings before you decide
Before any money changes hands, you’ll see photorealistic 3D renderings of your home. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting — right down to the roofline and the windows.
Real bids. Real numbers.
We get actual quotes from electricians, plumbers, HVAC, lumber, and trim suppliers — not guesses. Your estimate is detailed enough to submit to a bank for a construction loan.
We test your land first
We perform soil load-bearing tests, perc tests when needed, and shoot the grade of your site with a laser level. We know what we’re building on before we give you a final number.
Personal oversight throughout
Tory personally and periodically inspects the work at every phase of your build. Emma manages the coordination that keeps everything moving. You always know who to call — and they always pick up.

Rough Estimate
We create a rough estimate based on your plan or your initial ideas. This is an order-of-magnitude estimate — many unknowns remain at this stage — but it gives you a real number to react to before any commitment is made.

Line-by-Line Meeting — at Our Home
We go through the rough estimate together, line by line, at Tory’s home in Huntsville. You’ll see his craftsmanship firsthand — the trim, the finishes, the quality that’s standard on every Tory Dutton home. We’ll discuss the unknowns, adjust the estimate based on your input, and talk through construction loan options. By the end of this meeting, you’ll likely have a better estimate than you’d get from any other builder in the area.

Design Your Plan
Sometimes we find a purchased plan that fits perfectly. Other times we draw from scratch — working through multiple rounds of refinement, including 3D renderings so you can visualize your home at every stage. Throughout design, we flag decisions that substantially affect cost so there are never any surprises.

Make Your Selections
This is where your home becomes uniquely yours. You’ll work through every meaningful decision — and we’ll get quotes back on many of them to keep the estimate accurate. Emma guides you through the selections process and coordinates with our suppliers on your behalf.

Real Bids from Real Subcontractors
We get actual bids from electricians, plumbers, HVAC contractors, lumber suppliers, and trim suppliers. Not ballpark guesses — real competitive quotes that go directly into your estimate.

We Test Your Land
Before finalizing anything, we perform a soil load-bearing capacity test (and a perc test when needed) and shoot the grade of your site with a laser level to precisely measure elevation changes. This is the step most builders skip — and it’s exactly why most builders get the cost wrong.

Submit to the Bank & Close the Loan
With a complete, accurate estimate in hand, we submit to the bank and apply for your construction loan. Once approved, we close the loan, pull the building permit, and break ground.

Build Your Home
Construction begins. Tory personally and periodically inspects every phase of the work. Emma manages scheduling and day-to-day communication. During construction, you’ll make final decisions on electrical placement, colors, hardware, and finishes — and no decision gets made without you.
